From what I’m told
the tiniest particle
in my living cells
resembles the architecture
of the universe;
a swooping image of bright orange & red
against solid black
generated by a computer
illustrates a black hole
two billion years ago
slowly sucking in a dying star
caught
too close to the hungry hole
caught
in a tidal disruption,–
only
there is no moon,
no tide going out,
only the bleak darkness
of a galaxy
found in space
and a star
that is no more.
