Sarah Thursday calls Long Beach, California her home, where she advocates for local poets and poetry events in the time off from her other passion, teaching kids. Along with editing Cadence Collective, she co-hosts 2nd Mondays Poetry Party with one of her poetry heroes, G. Murray Thomas. Recently, she has recorded a CD of poetry to music with her gifted musician friends. Even more recently, she has decided to start a small press to support new poets, called Sadie Girl Press. She feels blessed to have a rich life filled with all the things she loves; music, poetry, friends, family, art, teaching, and possibilities. She has been published in various places online and in print, has published several chapbooks, and now has a full length poetry story/collection called All the Tiny Anchors.
