I notice a small tattoo
on the inside of her arm
close to her wrist
written in script:
Carpe Diem,
an inspiring saying.
I take note
of its meaning,
seize the day,
think that’s what
we all should do.
When she hands me
my change,
I want to tell her,
yes, yes,
seize the day
young lady cashier
at Walmart.
