Tip for the Candidate

While running for office and addressing the public at a campaign event,
don’t start with a joke about your prostate or bladder.
While this might get hoots and hollers,
giggles and guffaws in private,
it forms an awful image for an audience.
Especially if they’ve just eaten.
A well-regarded member of the state assembly
once told a very funny story
about his colonoscopy
at a pancake breakfast.
He was the only incumbent
to ever lose an election.
