Esmeralda Villalobos is an artist from Guadalajara, Mexico, currently living in Southern California. Her primary media are oils and acrylics, but she also enjoys working in watercolors, ink, and other mixed media. As far as her painting style is concerned, she feels that experimenting with different forms—surrealism, abstract expressionism, realism—is one of the greatest freedoms an artist has. She believes that working in different styles and media keeps her interested, engaged, and helps to expand her creativity.
Esmeralda generously contributed to all the art for the first 24 months of the website from August 2013 to July 2015. She has an art book called Artwork by Esmeralda Villalobos available through Sadie Girl Press.
