Olivia Somes is a recent graduate of California State University, Long Beach where she earned a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. Currently, Olivia is a second-year graduate student in the MFA program for Poetry at CSULB where she is president of HipPoetics. You can find her poetry in Verdad, Carnival, Crack the Spine, and several issues of Bankheavy Press. Her first chapbook, Life After Purgatory, was released in the fall of 2012 (Bankheavy Press).
