June marks the 30th consecutive 2nd Mondays Poetry Party monthly reading. Unfortunately, we need to reschedule Carine Topal, but we still are celebrating by featuring Katie Hogan, Steven Hendrix, and YOU! Join us at Fox Coffeehouse for hot and cold beverages, warm pastries, and all the poetry you can consume. Sign ups for the open reading list begin at 6:45 and reading at 7 pm, hosted by G. 45-IMG_9609 copyKatie Hogan is the founder, creative director, and editor-in-chief of The Altar Collective, a small press and arts collective based in Los Angeles. Her writing has been nationally recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English and has been featured in publications such as Quiet Lightning and The American Library of Poetry. She is moving to Boston this summer to obtain her Masters in Publishing & Writing from Emerson College.

Steve Hendrix

Steven Hendrix has a B.A. in Comparative Literature and an M.A. in English Literature from California State University, Long Beach.  When people asked what he planned to do with a degree in literature, his usual response was “life, I plan to do life.” His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Pearl, Re)verbCreepy Gnome, Bank Heavy Press, Serving House Journal, and Conceit.
