Mila Beliso

Mila Beliso is an aspiring, young writer living in Los Angeles, CA. She plans on transferring to Cal State Long Beach next Fall – like many of the great poets she has come to meet and know over the course of her short but eventful academic career. So far, her work has been published by Crack the Spine, Verbal Eyze, Carnival Lit Magazine, the Myriad, and Bank-Heavy-Press. Mila hopes her poetry can connect to people in the simplest ways possible and promote transcendence very quietly. If someone can feel calmer and sweeter after inhaling words from a page, she feels poetry has done its duty – which she considers a very Victorian notion.
