Margaret Towner grew up in Long Beach, California. After living in Latin America for many years, she returned to Long Beach with her three bilingual children. It was in Long Beach where she began to write and then publish her poems through Pearl Editions, the Serving House Press, the Center for Nondual Awareness, the Cancer Poetry Project Anthology, and Silver Birch Press. She is a member of Donna Hilbert’s poetry workshop and presently translates a Mapuche poet from Chile.
