Anthony Oropeza is an aspiring, freelance writer, and local author. At age 14, his poem “A Common Life” was featured in the 2013 publication of The America Library of Poetry’s Discovered and has since went on to write a book of poetry entitled The Boozers, released in early 2015. In a local high school poetry contest, Anthony’s critically acclaimed poem featured in The Boozers titled “See for Me”, was one of three nominees as finalists for a scholarship award. A film buff, Anthony will be pursuing a career in screenwriting as he attends college in the fall of 2017. However, Anthony is also very dedicated to self-publishing works of literature and visiting independent bookstores, due to not only their massive variety of book collections, but the availability of independently published books in addition.
