Summer Haiku

Plant 4

By G. Murray Thomas

Bare feet on hot sand.
White flesh on bikini’s edge.
Hot lust on young minds.

Light breeze on the lake
trees shatter as they hit the water.

Multi-hued flowers
wild in the yardglow in the summer dusk.

Red flowers, blue sky.
Waiting for hummingbirds.
Tomorrow it rains.

Taking shelter
rain still drippingfrom sunlit leaves.
