Moon Man 4
By Thomas R. Thomas

11-22-63

He doesn’t know
the flame burns
above his grave.

Forever

burning on into
the eons of time,
to never dim

after Arlington
becomes a memory,
then passes from

existence.

The flame will
burn on the bleak
and barren ground.

The future creatures
that roam the earth
will sniff and wonder

at the flame,

then skitter off,
forgetting this
eternal flame.
